A very appealing 1918-dated Webley Mk VI revolver, chambered in .455 Webley and featuring the classic 6-inch barrel. A genuine First World War-era example retaining its original blued finish and displaying plenty of authentic period character.

The revolver is fitted with traditional hard rubber grips and retains its lanyard ring, while the metalwork displays a combination of military and civilian proof markings. Of particular interest to collectors is the presence of the British Broad Arrow stamp, reflecting its military heritage.

The original blued finish remains present but displays age-related wear, entirely in keeping with the revolver's age and history. Rather than detracting from the piece, this gives it the attractive patina and character expected from an original service revolver dating from the closing year of the First World War.

The Webley Mk VI is one of the most recognisable British military sidearms of the early 20th century, and a correctly dated 1918 example makes an appealing addition to a collection of British military or First World War firearms.

A nice, honest and original WW1-dated Webley Mk VI, offered for the appropriate Section 7(3) or Section 5 authority.
