A scarce 1915-dated Webley Mk V military revolver, chambered in .455 Webley and featuring a 6-inch barrel. A good, honest example of the comparatively rare Mk V, displaying plenty of genuine military character and age-related patina.

This example features a Mk VI-style foresight, the classic Webley break-open action, attractive bird's-head grips, and the traditional lanyard ring.

The revolver displays numerous military stamps and proof marks, together with the desirable British Broad Arrow marking, adding to its appeal as an original First World War-era military sidearm.

The original finish is now almost completely worn, leaving the revolver with a well-used, authentic appearance. Vice-jaw marks are also present and are clearly noted for accuracy. Rather than being presented as a pristine example, this is an honest military revolver that wears the evidence of its age and previous use.

The Webley Mk V was produced for a relatively short period before being superseded by the better-known Mk VI, making surviving military examples particularly interesting to collectors of British service revolvers.

A scarce and characterful 1915-dated Webley Mk V, offered for the appropriate Section 7(1), Section 7(3) or Section 5 authority.
