SKU: F5/15
A stunning 1913-dated DWM Luger P08 pistol, chambered in 9mm and presented in excellent overall condition. Manufactured immediately prior to the First World War, this is an especially attractive Imperial German example retaining its original blued finish.
The knoxform is dated 1913, while the toggle carries the iconic DWM monogram. The receiver and barrel are both numbered 9476. The side plate and toggle are mismatched, although their finish is commensurate with the remainder of the pistol, suggesting they may represent period or wartime replacement components.
The pistol displays Imperial German proof marks and retains its traditional chequered walnut grip panels, completing the classic appearance of an early military P08.
Adding considerably to the appeal of the package is a 1915-dated brown leather holster, together with an original loading tool and spare magazine. Neither magazine is numbered to the pistol. One features a traditional wooden base, while the spare has an alloy base, potentially indicating that the pistol or its equipment remained in use into the Second World War period.
An excellent pre-WW1 DWM Luger package with plenty of historical character, combining a 1913 pistol, Imperial German markings, 1915 holster, loading tool and two period magazines.
Offered for the appropriate Section 7(3) or Section 5 authority.
