A superb 1917-dated DWM Artillery Luger 9mm pistol, featuring the distinctive 8-inch barrel and presented in excellent overall condition.

This desirable First World War example features an adjustable foresight and rear sight, together with a dated knoxform and the famous DWM monogram to the toggle. The pistol retains its attractive original blued finish and is fitted with traditional chequered walnut grip panels.

Importantly for collectors, the pistol displays matching numbers throughout with the exception of the magazine. The supplied magazine is itself a period example, although mismatched to the pistol, and features the characteristic wooden base.

The pistol is supplied with a new Certificate of Proof, adding further reassurance for the prospective collector.

With its long 8-inch barrel, adjustable sights and instantly recognisable profile, the Artillery Luger remains one of the most distinctive variants of the Luger family. This is a particularly attractive 1917 DWM example with extensive matching numbers and original finish.

A lovely and increasingly desirable WW1 Artillery Luger, presented in excellent condition and offered for the appropriate Section 7(3) or Section 5 authority.
