A lovely 1942-dated BSA Lee Enfield No.4 Mk1/2 rifle in .303, combining genuine early Second World War manufacture with a subsequent Fazakerley Mk1/2 conversion carried out in 1950.

Originally manufactured by BSA in 1942 as a No.4 Mk1, this rifle was later converted at Royal Ordnance Factory Fazakerley to Mk1/2 specification, making it an interesting example of the post-war programme to update earlier wartime No.4 rifles.

The barrel is particularly impressive, gauging at .30200" as new, adding considerably to the appeal of this example.

It retains lovely dark woodwork which complements the rifle's military character and wartime pedigree beautifully.

Importantly, the rifle retains matching numbers to the action, bolt and magazine, making this an especially attractive example for the Lee Enfield collector.

A lovely BSA No.4 Mk1/2 combining 1942 wartime pedigree, a documented-style 1950 Fazakerley conversion, matching numbered components and an excellent bore.
