A fine and highly collectible Longbranch No.4 MK1 (No Star) .303 Rifle, stocked in dark walnut with an early pattern magazine cut-off relief forend and long butt.

Serial Number: 1L4698 – placing it as the 14,698th No.4 MK1 rifle produced by Longbranch. With Longbranch producing only approx. 15,000 MK1 rifles before transitioning to the MK1*, this rifle is one of the last ~300 examples ever made in this early configuration.

The receiver is dated 1941, with a matching butt, a correct Longbranch button cocking piece, and the seldom-seen Longbranch-made MK1 rear sight.

It is fitted with a Longbranch 1942-dated 2-groove barrel, numbered to the rifle, gauging at 0.30375, ensuring it remains in strong shooting condition.
