SKU: F168
A rare opportunity to own a genuine early Lee-Enfield No.4(T) Sniper Rifle, serial number AD0255, dating to 1943. This rifle represents an early sniper conversion, carried out prior to Holland & Holland standardisation, and is likely an Enfield factory conversion. It has been professionally inspected and authenticated by renowned gunsmith Richard Stork of Devizes, who confirmed it as a legitimate and original early No.4T.
This rifle retains the faint TR markings on the butt socket (now overstamped but still visible), and features a 1950s replacement barrel—well-matched in wear and patina to the rest of the rifle—likely fitted during its post-war service. The barrel gauges at an impressive 0.30325 with strong rifling and no pitting, making it well-suited to both collecting and shooting.
It has matching serial numbers on the receiver, bolt, and magazine, and is fitted with a period-correct No.32 Mk1 scope, recently serviced and overhauled by Peter Laidler. The telescope bracket is a UK-made reproduction, believed to be by Roger Payne, known for high-quality reproductions true to original specifications.
A seldom-seen example of an early 4T sniper rifle with verified provenance and excellent shooting potential.
