An early 1920's BSA+Co SMLE. (All matching numbers to bolt, receiver and barrel.)
Originally made as a commercial rifle in MK3 specification, the rifle bears 1930's Birmingham Military proof marks indicating it was pressed into military service during WW2, possible very early on.
Several broad arrow stamps present on Receiver, barrel and other parts. Lovely dark wood.
Barrel gauges at 0.30350 showing hardly any wear from new.
Barrel is bright with no pitting.
A very collectable rifle in excellent condition which will shoot very well.
