The difference between an Accuracy International (AI) butt pad with one hole and two holes mainly comes down to mounting compatibility and adjustment options:
1. One-Hole Butt Pad
• Typically found on older AI rifle stocks (such as early AW and AE models).
• Uses a single central screw for attachment.
• Offers limited or no height adjustment, depending on the stock design.
2. Two-Hole Butt Pad
• Found on newer AI rifles (such as AT, AX, and newer AW models).
• Uses two screws for more secure mounting.
• Often allows for height adjustment, letting the shooter fine-tune the butt pad position for comfort and recoil management.
If you’re replacing a butt pad, check your stock to see how it mounts. If your stock has a single mounting point, a one-hole pad is required. If it has two mounting points, go for a two-hole pad for proper fitment.
